County Parks
Marinette County Parks maintains 19 county parks, most offering picnic tables, playgrounds, swimming, fishing and hiking, all within 40 miles of Popp’s Resort.

There are three different public beaches on High Falls Flowage you can get to by car or boat.  There is one beach on an island which is always fun to boat to.

Rental range from: pontoon boats, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, row boats and fishing motor boats which are all available on site.

Fish the High Falls Flowage or choose from the other 443 lakes or 623 miles of trout streams this area offers. A wide variety of fishing opportunities, High Falls flowage is mostly know for amall mouth bass and musky but also has walleye, northern and panfish.  On the Peshtigo River there are also fly fishing area just south of us . Ice fishing is also very popular in our area.  We have ice shanty rentals

Fish Hatchery

Our area offers both gun and bow season. Species include white tail deer, bear, wild turkey, grouse, woodcock and small game.

Water Ski Shows
The Twin Bridge Ski Club performs on High Falls Flowage, one mile from Popp’s Resort.

Located nearby are the Crivitz Area Museum, the Peshtigo Fire Museum and Logging Museums in Marinette and Wabeno.

In Crivitz there are some antique and gift shops for you shopper.  There is a Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Crivitz.  The closest Walmart is forty five minutes away but Crivitz does have two dollar stores.

Whitewater Rafting
White water rafting is just a short drive away.  The raft company runs the Peshtigo River and the Menominee River.  Our area supports one of the longest, continuous stretches of white water in the midwest. Trips start early in April and run thru September.

Walking & Hiking Trails
For those who love to walk, the area offers many trails nearby, including trails in the Nicolet National Forest, Marinette County Parks and Governor Thompson State Park .

Rustic Road Tour
We are located about a mile from Parkway Road, Wisconsin Rustic Road #32, ideal for both car and bicycle touring.

Waterfall Tour
Marinette County is the Waterfall Capitol of Wisconsin, with 14 major waterfalls inside it’s borders. Many are located within the Marinette County Parks. A Waterfall Map is available in the office. 3 mile drive to the closest waterfall.

Zoo – 32 mile drive

ATV/UTV Trails
Popp’s is located right on the summer ATV Trails.  You do not have to trailer your ATV or UTV.  We are at a dead end of the trail which connects to miles of trails.

Popp’s Resort is located right on the Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Trail. With over 100 miles of trails throughout the Twin Brisge area and beyond.

Cross-Country Skiing
Our resort has three separate trails. These 13 scenic miles offer various degrees of difficulty. Nearby are another 40 kilometers of public trails. All are groomed for better skiing and for your enjoyment. Ice skating is also available.

Fall Colorama
From mid-September to mid-October, come rent a boat and see the north woods aflame with color.

Porterfield Country Music Festival
This music festival has been held annually for the past 20 years. For information, call 715-789 -2130.

Laona Steam Train
Take a ride through the forest on a historic Steam Train. Fall Color rides are especially nice. Located about 45 minutes NW, just west of Laona on Hwy 8.
